Welcome to the New Richmond Rotary Website
We are excited to welcome you to the new Richmond Rotary website, a new online home for sharing the work, people and community spirit of the Rotary Club of Richmond.
Richmond Rotary has a long history of serving the Hawkesbury community. Throughout the year, our members volunteer their time, raise funds, support local organisations, encourage young people, recognise community achievement and bring people together. Our new website has been created to provide a central place where the community can discover more about this work and, importantly, find ways to become involved.
One of the goals of the new website is to showcase the remarkable variety of projects supported by Richmond Rotary. Our youth and education programs include the Richmond TAFE Scholarships, Western Sydney University Hawkesbury Scholarship, Sam Pearce Memorial Scholarship, Maggie Kable Hawkesbury District High School Art Awards and Junior Citizenship Awards, along with our involvement in programs such as RYLA, MUNA and other opportunities for young people.
Our community involvement extends across the Hawkesbury. From the Richmond Rotary Canteen at the Hawkesbury Show and BBQs supporting local schools to the Community Services Awards, fundraising activities and assistance for local organisations, Richmond Rotary members can be found volunteering throughout the district. We are also working alongside the Rotary Clubs of Kurrajong North Richmond and Windsor to support the formation of a new Rotaract Club in the Hawkesbury, creating another pathway for younger members of our community to participate in service, leadership and friendship.
The new website will also help us tell the stories behind these activities. Rotary is ultimately about people — the volunteers who give their time, the organisations we work alongside, the students receiving scholarships, the young artists being recognised, the emergency service personnel serving our community and the many Hawkesbury residents who support our fundraising activities.
We hope the website becomes more than simply a record of what Richmond Rotary does.
We want it to become a place where people can discover what is happening, learn about upcoming events, explore our projects, read our latest news and find opportunities to participate.
Most importantly, the website is an invitation.
