Hearing Voices Movement

The Hearing Voices Movement is supported by several key organisations that advocate for the rights and well-being of individuals who hear voices or have other unique sensory experiences. These organisations provide resources, support, and a platform for voice hearers, mental health professionals, and advocates to come together, share experiences, and promote understanding and acceptance.

Intervoice
The Intervoice is a global network that connects and supports Hearing Voices groups, practitioners, and researchers worldwide, promoting alternative understandings of voice-hearing and related experiences. It works to share knowledge, build international collaboration, and strengthen the Hearing Voices Movement by advocating for approaches based on meaning, lived experience, and peer support.

The Hearing Voices Movement represents a truly global network, with at least 26 national organisations connected through Intervoice, alongside a wide range of service providers delivering Hearing Voices groups at the local level. On top of this sits an expanding layer of training and knowledge networks, creating a multi-tiered ecosystem that functions as a distributed yet interconnected global system. Together, this forms a deeply embedded international movement—spanning grassroots peer groups, formal organisations, and training infrastructures—making the Hearing Voices Network one of the most globally integrated peer-led systems in mental health.
