Each TCM specialty applies core principles of pattern differentiation and holistic treatment, but with emphasis on the particular needs of the patient:

  • Gynaecology: Blood, Chong-Ren, Kidney-Liver harmony

  • Paediatrics: Immature Qi, Spleen and Lung vulnerability

  • Psychiatry: Shen anchoring, Heart-Kidney balance, Phlegm-Heat clearance

  • Esoteric acupuncture: Consciousness, higher-level energetics

  • Oncology: Strengthening Zheng Qi, clearing Toxins, softening masses

  • Internal medicine: Broad organ system focus using Zang-Fu, meridians, and fluids.

Together, these specialties form a comprehensive, adaptable, and deeply integrative system of care — capable of addressing the full spectrum of human health, from physical too emotional to spiritual.

Esoteric Acupuncture

密宗针灸 or 心灵针灸

A modern spiritual-energetic system inspired by TCM, developed by Dr. Mikio Sankey), Aligning the body's energy system with higher consciousness, chakra systems, and spiritual evolution

  • Works more with energetic patterns, not just Zang-Fu

  • Considers the flow of consciousness through the meridians and how trauma, belief systems, or spiritual disconnection manifest in the energy field.

  • Often integrated with meditation, visualization, or breathwork

  • Use specific geometric acupuncture point sequences to open higher awareness.

  • Harmonize the emotional-mental-spiritual layers of the individual.

  • Support deep healing from trauma or spiritual blockages, often in conjunction with traditional methods

Gynaecology

中医妇科
Zhōng yī fù kē

Menstrual disorders, fertility, pregnancy, postpartum care, menopause, hormonal balance

  • Special emphasis on Liver, Spleen, and Kidney systems

  • Chong (Penetrating) and Ren (Conception) vessels play a major role.

  • Menstrual history (cycle, flow, colour, pain) is a key diagnostic tool.

  • Blood patterns (deficiency, Heat, stagnation, Cold) are central

  • Regulate Qi and Blood

  • Tonify Kidney (especially Jing and Yin)

  • Harmonize Liver (especially in Qi stagnation and PMS)

  • Use moxa, herbs, and acupuncture to support pregnancy, IVF, or postpartum recovery

中医儿科
Zhōng yī ér kē

Infants and children: digestion, immunity, development, respiratory conditions, fevers, skin disorders

  • Children's physiology is seen as “pure Yang” but immature — their Zang-Fu are delicate.

  • Illness often arises from Spleen Qi deficiency, Lung vulnerability, and external invasions.

  • Observation (skin colour, cry, behaviour), pulse is often hard to take in young children.

  • Thumb vein diagnosis (guàn mài 关脉) is sometimes used in infants

  • Use gentle, low-dose herbs, or paediatric tui na.

  • Focus on Spleen support for digestion, immunity, and growth.

  • Clear Heat or resolve Phlegm for common paediatric issues like cough, eczema, or fevers

TCM Specialties

In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), there are multiple specialties, each focusing on a particular aspect of human health and life stages. These specialties apply the core theories of TCM — such as Yin-Yang, Qi, Blood, Zang-Fu, meridians, Five Elements, and Shen — within their specific clinical focus. Each discipline contributes to both diagnosis and treatment, using tailored approaches based on pattern differentiation (辨证论治). The key specialties in TCM include:

中医肿瘤科
Zhǒng liú kē

  • Careful pattern differentiation based on constitution, stage of cancer, and organ systems involved

  • Support Zheng Qi (vital Qi), reduce side effects of Western treatment.

  • Resolve Phlegm, move Blood, soften masses, detoxify.
